Lost years of pictures as well

I've had a Winkflash account for years, I went to log in last week and was unable. After trying several times my email address wasn't recognized. I finally emailed customer serverice, who responded that the company just closed down over night last August, I never received any notification. How could a company close down & another operation get to reopen with same name and logo's. There was no notification to the consumer's. Somebody should be held liable. We had 1000's of picture on this site. All our family memories just gone, my wife and I are devasted. There should be some way to hold them liable to all the harm that has been caused.

I am soo upset. I too have lost all the pictures from my son being born and the first few years of his life.

I can't believe they did this!! Those are photos he/we will never get to see again! I back everything up now.

This should not have happened!! I can't believe there is no way to retrieve them!!

Since Winkflash changed ownersip it is far from what it was. Soo sad. I have had lost orders. All my photos were lost. The postage rates are awful. The only thing i have done now is 4x6 prints becuse they ship for free. Anything else as enlargements collages etc are to costly with shipping.

They also cannot be contacted by phone. Lose orders and cancel orders.

I have had big orders lost in tube mail. Last order took 6 weeks to arrive. Winkflash needs to have a phone number where they can be contacted. Costumer service is awful.

As you saypostage rates are ridiculous.

Picture quality isn't the same anymore. Old site was much easier to use as well.

Experience with Winkflash NEW Winkflash!- in a word DON'T! It is NOTHING like the old winkflash!! Their website is just not great, and that's when it works. It is is riddled with issues for large orders!! (At least on IE and Chrome - you know the two most popular browser) They are either 1. incompetent or 2. too lazy to fix them. So their answer is Use Modzilla - Excuse me - you are a public internet company - you need to be able to work on at least the top 3 browsers. Let me Clear your cache without nottice AND Empty your cart and start over!! GREAT! Thanks I love that I have to spend 2 hours picking, sizing, cropping again!! For the third time. Did that twice - only to find out their shipping rates are INSANE!! Hey winkflash have you ever looked into priority flat rate shipping - it costs me more to have them ship me 4x6 prints than it would for someone to ship me REAMS of PAPER! Are you kidding me!! 220 4x6 photos - $26.00 shipping! NOTE: All your competitors charge between 8-9 for the same amount of photos! So I take everything but the 4X6's out of my cart - check out again - enter the FREE SHiiping code AND the shipping is still there - WHAT!! I look again - nothing of the other sizes are gone! (and I am still getting errors with each and everyone picture take out And after 4 hours going back and forth trying to help them - sending screen prints - THIS is what they are willing to do to "compensate" me - "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. On your next purchase, we will provide with a one time code for 50% off any product at any time. Whenever you wish to redeem this code, contact us again and we will gladly provide a code. They have lost nearly 12 years of family photos. I am contacting a lawyer on Monday. Anyone with me? They never respond, even after posts on their Facebook page. When they do respond, its with a generic 'we're trying our best' comment on social media. This should have been an easy server transition with the new ownership, but it seems they've failed and should be held liable for the value of 11 years of lost photos and memories. I cannot believe they had no clue this was going to happen with hundreds of millions of photos. Furthermore, there was no fare warning to remove the photos or back them up on another storage source.

They lost over 10,000 photos of mine and years of memories. If they took over or bought from previous owner why did they not care to let us account holders know and keep the past memories safe?

Any money cannot replace lost memories.

Marriage, birth of babies etc...I am so devastated. It's like a bad dream.

Winkflash lost my 10 years in pictures

I unsuccessfully tried to log in to my account today when Winkflash customer service brought up to my attention that the site was transferred to a new platform. Old projects were not available anymore. No prior notice about upcoming changes was issued to the customers. It resulted into 10 years of my valued memories disappearance. It's hard to believe that it could happen in advanced digital age. I consider it as an inappropriate negligence for Winkflash that positions itself as a reputable site. I'll absolutely join anyone who is willing to proceed with a class action to keep Winkflash accountable for negligence.

I also lost years of photos. I always suggested to folks to upload your photos so that they would always be safe there just in case something happens to the originals.

Ha! Poor advice.

Also, Winkflash did not offer any credits (which wouldn't bring back the pics I lost) to appease my anger and prevent the loss of a consumer.

Just an FYI, you've lost is a person who, as of May, has over 11,000+ pictures uploaded into Snapfish, not to mention how ever many there are on Shutterfly. All of those could've have been uploaded to your company.

Winkflash's new owners claimed for months that they had all our photos, but they were transferring them over to the new website. After inquiring multiple times, I was assured they were still there. Then suddenly? I received an email claiming that they were so sorry, but despite saving hundreds of thousands of photos, some were lost, and they no longer have access to the servers. How do you purchase a company and then lose the servers? Data doesn't simply disappear, it can be recovered. Only it costs time and money, clearly something Winkflash isn't interested in investing in. How do you screw over thousands of customers who relied on your services without warning about backing up their photos, etc.? Do the right thing Winkflash. Get our pictures back.

I do believe that winkflash has good equipment and Quality Assurance, as their cards and books were always first class. I too am waiting for my photos to be back up on the site......and I have hope that we can return to the old wonderful standards that made me such a good customer month after month and year after year. Let's have hope that the new owners get beyond their overwhelmed stage and return to those wonderful winkflash boxes that I loved to see in my mail! Hope springs eternal and I pray we will not be disappointed! I loved their flat rate book sales....where you could get 100 photos in a book for $19. I don't think anyone else in the business would do 100 8x10s for $19. And the books were wonderful. But the 5x7 card stock used - and the quality of their printing was what kept me coming back month after month.....they were great, and hopefully will be once again.

All 10 years of photos lost.

Winkflash lost 10 years of photos of my children, vacations, friends and family who have passed away. They cannot be replaced. There was no word from the previous owners that they were closing. They should have given all of us time to download our pictures so that they could have been saved, but they selfishly did not. And now many people like me have lost all of our photographic memories. If anyone know of a class action lawsuit, please let me know.............I am heartbroken over the loss of my pictures, they had no right to just dump them without a word! Cookiefish.ph@***.com

We used to order prints from @Winkflash. #NeverAgain. They defaced a pic of my daughter months ago & won't even respond to emails requesting a reprint. If reports are true they are now out of business, I am not surprised. Their lack of respect for their customers was/is clearly evident. Do not do business with this organization. My email to them: I am writing to express my extreme displeasure with WinkFlash. Months ago, my wife ordered prints, some of the 8"x10" variety. One image of my daughter sent with the order had one of her front teeth colored black. Hardly a "technical issue" to anyone who sees the image. I called customer support & was assured this was merely an issue with the software. She promised me this was not a deliberate act. As such, she only offered to resend me a correct print, upon receipt of an email from me. She wanted the image ID & to see it for herself. That was back in August. I have sent two more emails since then & have still not received either the correct print nor even a confirmation my email has been read. At this point I am beyond fuming. I have attached the image again, in hopes this can finally be resolved. To that end, I would like the corrected print we were promised - and I would like a refund of the money we paid for our order. This will bring satisfaction & will conclude any business we will be having with WinkFlash. Please do me the courtesy of responding to my email & honoring my reasonable request.

Winkflash has gone out of business. According to a member on a forum, "Apparently, the building and parking lot are deserted and no one knows what happened." (http://2peasrefugees.boards.net/thread/7394/wow-winkflash-more) Here is a local news story about it, and they report that "door tags from package delivery services dating from Aug. 27 to Sept. 2 are attached to the main entrance indicating that no one has been at the company to receive deliveries since at least Aug. 27." Or perhaps they had loans in default and their equipment was recalled and/or maybe the CEO is involved in a scandal that has lead to his being arrested and not allowed communication. Who knows. If anyone else has any information for concerned, nosy and pissed of customers, please reply to this post. Thanks!

You just have to log in and download your photos. It's taking me awhile, but that's what I've been doing.

Ouch - I had forwarded photos on 9-22-14 to be printed and had never received them. When I went in to check on them the status showed "printing"!!!!!

Consequently, I called their 1-800 # and have been on hold for 2 hours. Hmmmmmm!

They do not email or try to resolve issues

I have folders with no photos in them i have emailed several times now i can not even sign in it just times out i need my photos. I keep emailing them and they respond with we are putting it in a special que which does me no good because they still are not there they do not email back and when they do it is nothing to resolve the issue i have been with this company for years spent a lot of money and will never do business again i just want my photos to print then i am done with them*********************************************************************************************************************************************************************

Can't Reach Winkflash

I submitted an order on 8/21/14. I received an order number and my MasterCard was charged for the cost of the prints on 8/23/14. On 8/28/14 I emailed customer service because the status of my order was still "printing". No response. I tried calling them on 8/29/14. I got a busy signal all day long. I tried again on 9/2/14 and was caller number 8 for 1/2 hour. I tried again later in the day and moved from caller number 12 to caller number 7 in 2 hours. I finally got fiscouraged and hung up. If I get no response by the end of the week I will ask MasterCard to dispute the charge. I've sent many orders through in the past without a problem. They offered a reasonable way to develop your prints. Hope they're not bankrupt.

Website NOW says they stopped taking orders effective 8/25. also says if you were charged but your order didn't ship they are getting the refunds made.

So sad. I guess their prices were tooooo low :( Hope you didn't lose a ton of work, I know I did!!
